Custom Landscape Lighting Design and Installation
Lighting is where a landscape gets a second life after dark. It's treated as its own design discipline at Plant Man, not an afterthought added once everything else is finished. As an outdoor lighting contractor in Charlotte, Plant Man plans every fixture as part of the same design as the water, stone, and planting it lights.
Landscape Lighting Design and Landscape Lighting Installation
Landscape lighting design and landscape lighting installation are treated as one discipline here: custom outdoor lighting, architectural landscape lighting, and garden lighting planned as part of the complete outdoor environment, not added on at the end. On the Unionville Waterfall Project, Plant Man installed an FX Luminaire lighting system throughout the front and rear of the property: multiple zones, dimmable, with app-based control so different parts of the landscape can be adjusted independently. That system is a real, specific example of the capability, not a general claim.
Design Considerations
Lighting placement is planned around water features and major landscape elements specifically, because that's where it does the most work: highlighting a waterfall at night, or a piece of stonework that would otherwise disappear after dark. On the Plaza Midwood Contemporary Garden, recessed strip lighting under walls and steps, and underlighting beneath the floating limestone planters, were built into the hardscape itself rather than added on top of it.
